Terms and conditions
1. Health & Welfare
Owners confirm their dog is fit and healthy for grooming and must disclose any medical conditions, injuries, allergies, behavioural issues, or recent surgeries. Dogs showing signs of illness, parasites, or contagious conditions may be refused grooming. All dogs should be kept up to date with vaccinations and flea prevention. If fleas are found, a flea treatment and salon cleaning fee may apply.
2. Behaviour & Safety
Owners must inform the groomer of any history of aggression, biting, anxiety, or grooming sensitivity. If a dog becomes aggressive or unsafe to handle, the groom may be stopped and charges may still apply. The business reserves the right to refuse future services if a dog poses a safety risk.
3. Matted Coat Policy
Severely matted coats may require clipping the coat short for welfare reasons. Removing matting may reveal skin irritation, sores, redness, or bruising. The business cannot be held responsible for skin issues discovered after mat removal. Additional dematting charges may apply depending on coat condition.
4. Senior Dogs & Medical Conditions
Extra care is taken with elderly or medically compromised dogs. Grooming may be shortened or adjusted where necessary to ensure the dog's welfare. Owners acknowledge that grooming older or medically fragile dogs carries increased risk.
5. Accidents & Injuries
While every care is taken, grooming equipment is sharp and dogs may move unexpectedly. Minor nicks, cuts, or nail quicking may occasionally occur. If an injury happens the owner will be notified and veterinary care sought if necessary. Costs relating to pre‑existing conditions, severe matting, or undisclosed issues remain the owner's responsibility.
6. Appointments & Cancellations
A minimum of 24 hours notice is required for cancellations or changes. Late cancellations or missed appointments may be charged. Repeated missed appointments may require payment in advance for future bookings.
7. Late Arrival & Collection
Late arrival may result in a shortened appointment or rescheduling. Dogs must be collected promptly when notified. Late collection may result in a holding fee.
8. Pricing
Prices are estimates based on breed, size, coat condition, behaviour, and time required. Additional charges may apply for dematting, flea treatment, difficult behaviour, or extra grooming time.
9. Photography
Photos of dogs may be taken for portfolio, website, or social media. Please notify the groomer if you prefer your dog not to be photographed.
10. Liability
While all reasonable care is taken, the business cannot be held responsible for reactions to grooming products, pre‑existing medical conditions, matting related skin issues, or undisclosed behavioural or health problems.
